Showtime Renews  QAF for 3rd & 4th Seasons
[Press Release: 06-03-02]
Queer as Folk, the highest rated Showtime original series, will be back for at least two more years (Season Three and Season Four) it was announced by Showtime President of Programming Jerry Offsay. The decision to renew the series for two new 16 episode seasons was made as the show's second successful season comes to a close with the final new episode airing June 16th. The third season is slated to kick off in March of 2003 and will continue to air on Sunday evenings at 10:00 PM (ET/PT).
The show stars Michelle Clunie, Robert Gant, Thea Gill, Gale Harold, Randy Harrison, Scott Lowell, Peter Paige, Hal Sparks and Sharon Gless. Also returning are Sherry Miller, Makyla Smith, Jack Wetherall and Fabrizio Filippo. Each hour-long episode focuses on the relationships, careers, loves and ambitions of a group of gay men and women living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Blending strong drama with charm and humor, the series offers a compelling, realistic and graphic depiction of a world which is rarely seen on television.
